Literature Text
you always were
my favorite lullaby
i once thought
our endless song
would carry through
forever and beyond
i quickly learned
how things change
our melody ended
my heart cracked
but something new
has finally occurred
a sweeter lullaby
with welcoming hope
a brighter horizon
thanks to you
farewell old lullaby
and good luck

Literature
All I Want
All I want is you.
If I can't have this one,
Final wish,
All hope will be gone.
The light will drain from
My eyes,
The life draining
From my broken heart
You will leave behind,
And I will melt away.
My body will be cursed.
Forced to roam the earth still,
Even though I have
Nothing to live for.
You give me purpose.
You give me meaning,
And you're slowly turning
My tainted wings
Back to a pure white,
Just like yours.
I'll always try and give you
What I can.
I'll always try and make you happy.
And if that means not
Crying if you leave me,
Then so be it.
I'd do anything just to see you smile.
Just once.
For me.
All I

Back when I was invincible
I painted death dreams
On the clouds
And prayed for it to rain on me
To catch me without an umbrella.
Back when I was invincible
I blew out the stars
And ate Venus for dessert
And made the universe my playground
Never slowing down.
Until I ran into the clouds
And fell back to earth
And landed in a hospital bed
Where they taught me how to die.
Literature
Them Good Girls
i'm hand-sewing baby-hewed petals
onto my night-gown,
flexing long dormant digit muscles
to smear pastels bold&bright,
dragging boiling fingerprint blood
[from the un-thimbleds]
across an antique ivory hem.
that is to say,
i'm lighting fires under gypsy toes,
that those might christen me
"martyr-minded"
in my self-brutality.
really,
those sinless are talentless,
and plunging toe-first is not "plunging" at all.
we bite the world hoping it will bite back, and knowing it won't.

a poem made entirely of six word couplets. the first one popped into my head and i felt like expanding on it. it's not the greatest, but i hope you enjoy it anyway <3
